Hummer #2 Go Around or Why can't we be friends?

The Hummingbirds are back in town. Here two females are squabbling over feeding rights to one of our feeders out back. It's nice to see them again.

aug28th-last company flight of the Falcon

The last company flight of the Falcon. We're taking it from Kansas City International home to Spirit. We may have a demo flight, take it for a pre-buy and deliver it later, but this was its last flight for us.

Rick Nusser, who had been with the company for 17 years, flew her home. Jet Corp treated us to a goodbye arc from a fire engine as well as a bunch of hugs and tears from line corps and the front desk staff.

Here's the girls with the fruit basket they gave us upon arrival. Front is Beth, rear row is Liz, Angie and Tamara.

Sun, Aug26th-Addison Pemberton flies dh-4

Addison Pemberton dropped in from Spokane today. He's a friend of Glenn's and is restoring a soon to be flyable Boeing Model 40. It took little convincing of Al to let him have a turn in the cockpit. Here he's telling Glenn all about his flight and he's not even out of the airplane yet!

Sat. Aug 25th-Dinner with John

Here's John McBride and I at our favorite restaraunt, Outback, for a final meal of ribs. We learned last week our airplane is going away and we don't have a job after Aug.31st. I had a couple gift cards, so me and my son Skyler went out and had dinner with John. I was at recurrent last week and he was leaving the next day so Sat. evening was the time we could go.
Thanks John, I loved every minute of it.

A Thunderstorm rolled last evening, providing plenty of thunder and lightning. The power went off for about a minute.
